Best Burger in Maine! →
jennabsprafkin:
Food Network Magazine has come up with their list of the best burgers in the country in the state of Maine, The Owls Head General Store won! This is where I got the magical crab melt that is featured from the other day. It’s a great place for breakfast or lunch and their burger is coined, the seven napkin burger because of all the delicious condiments and love that end up all over...

Barnes Burning: "Swine Flu" Provides Convenient... →
From my good friend Seth:
Millions of Americans who suffer each and every day from what they euphemistically call the “wine flu” have found refuge in identifying their affliction as the “swine flu” to family, friends, and co-workers…

Ruckus at the post office! We got in and out super fast! And we are forever thankful for automated postage machines!
I mean I really thought this woman and her sidekick were double fisting cans of whoopass!
Early am trip to the post office.
Hot! Hot! Hot! It sure feels like summer in the city! Mara & I are meeting Sam for lunch (dumplings) in Chinatown!
Mara is taking me for a walk. It is too nice out to be inside!
caffeine. check
morning walk. check.
tackling the day. in progress.
I am helping Mara make a power point presentation. She has oddly enough managed her whole life with out ever having made one. I can’t really wrap my head around it.
Mara is back from Virginia in time to take me to an opening tonight at the Met. She is quite tired but hopefully be in full force at the opening. I am really looking forward to it & I will report back to you all later on the show and festivitites!
Mara is heading out of town for the weekend & I’m a little excited as I have a few tricks up my sleeve for while she’s away…just you wait!
We have reached a little bit of an emergency situation over here on our end this afternoon. We are so full and tired from burgers that we are finding it hard to do anything else besides sit on the couch a stare off into space.
That’s cool for me but Mara has to teach this afternoon and she has some late night printing plans with Abby.
Mara hooked us up. We are going to Peter Luger’s for a burger lunch. It is so awesome being me.
Today we deliver Mara’s artwork to Packer for the Alumni show that opens next week. For more information click here. I will post the details on the blog as we get closer to next week.
Mara is going to put those new drawings she was working on in the show. There are 8 of them. They are kinda strange, but I think that is what makes them kinda great.
We love the mothership. Mara is really happy here. It is nice to see her in such a good mood.
We are off to the mothership this morning. Mara has a meeting and I am supposed to survey the scene and do some sort of inventory. Also Mara is trying to find a new pal to share her space with starting May 1. So also please let one of us know if you are interested.
food smells good….
Jenna is cooking dinner tonight! Yum! But this means Mara & I have to clean house. She has art work, potential artwork, scraps, and paperwork all over the dining room and coffee table. It remains unclear where everything will go but I guess we’ll figure it out in the next couple of hours. I think we will need something a little more heart pumping than Dolly for this one…
Eastbound & Down →
will be back for a 2nd season! All of us here at headquarters are so happy we don’t know what to do with ourselves.
Mara had to cancel class tonight due to the fact that the exposure unit is not working again. This means we get to go to Passover. This is a good thing for me. I love Matzo Ball Soup.
home improvements
Mara thinks she is staring in her own HGTV show as she takes the plunge to actually hang things on her empty walls minus her 2009 Virginia Men’s Lacrosse schedule poster hung with blue tape. Embarrassing. She is currently ‘refurbusing’ an old mirror. I have my doubts but I am interested to see how this goes.
Today we need to frames the new drawings/paintings Mara has been working on for an upcoming show so that the work can get delivered later this week. They are the ones I have been talking about and while they still remain a work in progress I think it is great for this upcoming show. More details to follow.
Yeah, if you can imagine getting Mara back on track today was even harder than I thought it would be. She is now off to teach her class and I am so tired I am going to make myself a stiff drink.
