WatchVOLA! Here is the Sharpie video that Mara is in! The video was done by Bobby Sheehan of Working Pictures. All in all the whole thing was a really fun thing to be part of. The one minute spot is currently running on Ovation TV so you can also catch it there!

First morning task: scan 53 55 of Mara’s drawings (for her upcoming project in Wassaic) into the computer. I’m gonna be here for a while.
Oh the long and winding road…as of 7:50 am we seems to have most of yesterday’s technical problems under control.
We are having some technical problems and delays this afternoon. The previous post was actually from around 11am but it seems to have not gone though till just now. We escaped the downpour and it continues to rain heavily in Brooklyn. Once I get the OK to post the DVD of Mara I will.
The humidity is so awful. Mara has decided in a silent protest of the hike in metocard fares that if she can walk where she needs to be and has enough time that we will walk. Oh the never ending task list. I cross things off constantly and I feel like as quickly as I cross items off Mara seems to find more tasks to add.
One major accomplishment is that I drafted and confirmed most of our itinerary for the big install in Wassaic next week. I think it is going to be a really great day and Mara & I have managed to gather a solid crew.
So much to get done today, I am hoping that Christine will call Mara soon and go with her on a walk so that I can be left to get stuff done.

The concert last night was awesome. I now am starting to understand why Mara loves a spectacle as much as she does. Lisa took better photos than I did so we will all have to wait for Lisa to send those to me so I can post them here.
I had a few miscellaneous things to take care of this morning and am off for the rest of the weekend. Mara has a bridal shower and bachelorette down on the Jersey...
So many sequins. We are almost embarrassed that we never got the sequin memo.
I wonder if the reason only 2/3 of the stadium is full is because everyone in NJ was arrested last night and this morning.

Actually this needs to be an iPhone app as it would be quite handy when Mara asks me what I think about certain things she makes! (also first I need to convince Mara to get me an iPhone.)
Today we are headed to the Bronx Zoo. Wednesday’s admission is ‘pay what you wish’ so we are going side track ourselves for the larger part of today as part of ‘office mental health day.’ Company outing to Bronx Zoo
Things feel a bit more resolved today than they did yesterday. Mara is still very anxious but it is how she functions, I just run with it.
Mostly I am just looking forward to tonight’s semiannual Swedish Feast. However this time instead of listening to listening to ABBA and Ace of Base we will be listening to Beyoncé while we dine in anticipation of Friday’s Beyoncé concert.
Logistics. Fist task on today’s TO DO list is to make a new TO DO list. Most of you don’t know Mara is a master at making TO DO lists. If you ever get a chance to see one they actually are down right hysterical. I believe I posted the ‘before we head to LA TO DO list’ on the blog a while back and I found the link and linked it up for you.

HELP WANTED
So Mara is looking for a 3rd set of hands and 3rd set of eyes to help out with an installation she is doing in Wassaic, NY as part of the Wassaic Project. The installation should only take 1 day but I could take 2.
The dates Mara is hoping to do this are Tuesday and Wednesday August 4th and 5th.

She surprised me this am when she told me she got us tickets to see Beyoncé next Friday night at the Izod Center in New Jersey!
As you might imagine for the next week we are all Beyoncé all the time…
This morning we had to continue where yesterday we felt short sue to injury.
Not as much has been purged as we might have hoped but progress has been made. This is clearly an ongoing summer project. We really got though many paper products the next step is cleaning out Mara’s closet. She might trade me in for Eminem for that task however. (I can only hope!)

We just came across this by accident on the internet. Things have been a bit slow moving since the bloody thumb incident earlier today. Mara thought it had been a while since she googled herself, so I googled her and found this nice little mention about her piece in this year’s Stoked Art Auction.

We have to take a break. Mara just sliced her finger (thumb) open. HOLY BLOOD. I will spare you all the photos but I will tell you that blood dripped everywhere as Mara rushed to the sink. Ugh. What am I? An orderly?
more purging. It is funny that the more you pull out to throw away the more of a disaster your space seems to get. Hopefully by the end of the day we can fully start to see the effects of the great purge of 2009.

we got threatened by rain on the way home but we had a great walk and great trip to Ikea and a FANTASTIC lunch at Calexico Carne Asada that just opened at 122 Union Street in Brooklyn. Calexico started as a food truck in Manhattan. For information about the food truck click here. SO GOOD.
Alas it was nice to have a day in Brooklyn after all our traveling.

Sorry Folks. I know I have been a little absent for a few days. I ran into some internet problems while in Virginia and then when we got back to Brooklyn yesterday I took the day off. Right now Mara & I are off to meet her Friend Kate for lunch and a walk to Ikea.
