Mara made Stromboli last night so we have Stromboli leftovers for lunch today! SCORE!

Hello turbulence. Landed. Pouring.
We lost power last night. As a result we almost could have missed our flight back this am. I am reporting to you to tell you we are on the plane. Due to our morning rush we have not showered or eaten. You may now refer to me a Grumpy and Mara as Cranky.
No photo needed. Painting diamonds in Charlottesville is no different than painting diamonds in Richmond or Brooklyn. Further proof that I should give Mara’s mobile studio practice more credit than I do.
Where is all of this rain coming from? And why is it following me around?
Plane empty. Practically a private flight on our own private plane. This is the life. It is nice when Mara arranges for us to feel like high rollers.

We made it to JFK just before sunrise. Typically we would be ‘no sleep till Brooklyn’ after a red eye but today it is ‘no sleep till Richmond.’ Mara got cheap flights and we have lots of work to do and she is convinced that with my help we can get it done from Virginia. I just am hoping that she has scheduled a nap in my immediate future.
Great boys weekend in Vegas and seems like Mara and the girls had a good girls weekend of their own. Sam is taking us back to the Valley this morning so we can spend the day with Genevieve and tonight we are flying back east on the red eye.
We made it out of the valley and over to Sam & Seth’s. Amelia, Anne and Leigh are flying in from Boston tonight and the girls are having a baby shower girls weekend. I’m heading to Vegas with Seth in the morning….and you know what they say…what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. See you next week!
I really appreciate that Mara buys us fancy Starbucks coffee in the mornings while we are here. It doesn’t really help much but it is nice.
We landed and are in some warmer weather on the left coast. Mara and I were both like zombies yesterday.
Flying mid week is magical. Maria drove us to the airport and there was no traffic. Once arrive at Terminal 5 there was no waits or lines at the security check and now we just sit and wait with our free WiFi at the gate. Did I just describe flying as tranquil?
Well I guess I have won the flying lottery as we will be back in this exact same terminal in one week from today for a 3 hours layover...
Packing sucks, and actually listing to Mara complain about packing sucks more. I am already packed it is Mara that is not on top of things. I guess there is a lot of do besides pack as we will be gone for 2 weeks. Maybe the packing is not even the sucky part, it is all the other things that we have to do.
I forgot to mention that we went to see the Bauhaus show at MoMA yesterday. The show closes on January 25th so if you have not seen it, GO! Both Mara & I HIGHLY recommend it. It really was fantastic and I think we only wish we had seen it sooner.

When did Mara become the mayor of Atlantic Avenue? Does this make me deputy mayor or chief of staff? Can we walk one block without running into someone who knows Mara?
Blackberry Tech Support all morning. Of course Verizon Wireless when fixing yesterday’s evening’s problems only created more problems for us to fix ourselves this morning once Mara woke up and called me at an ungodly hour. Of course.
