We are really busy prepping for Christmas. Christmas is not Mara’s holiday but she has recently started a tradition of cooking Christmas dinner. If this year is half as delicious and as fun as last year it will be a good time. There is lots to do in the next few days and this is one of those times I wish there was a few more of us to get everything done!

Mara is being picked on.
The mirror that Mara has been planning on hanging on her her new green wall has proven to be an epic failure. This morning at the hardware store the man helping us told us to buy this hard core heavy duty anchor and well it was clear that this device would blow out the wall so we are currently trying to come up with a plan B now that we already have one failed attempt and need to hang something to...
This morning I backed up my blog and now I am backing up Mara’s computer. At least we can both start 2011 having everything until 2011 saved and backed up. My advice to you is to do the same.

WatchMara’s Mom had many home movies converted from Beta and VHS onto DVD. I have only seen one DVD so far and it is of Mara at age 2. The footage was shot in the Spring of 1982 by Mara’s Dad. This clip is a little glimpse at the little artist with her Mom and Grandparents.
Port Is a Welcome Guest at Cocktail Parties →
This is an article from last week’s NY Times. Mara and Grant are big Port fans and now they can officially think of themselves as trendsetters. They would tell you that Port would be a welcomed guest at all kind of parties and non parties and not specific to the holidays.
Holiday cards are all addressed and will be sent off in the mail later today!
This morning we are off to Ikea (Maria & Lisa we will be thinking of you!) Mara needs to investigate and hopefully find some frames for some artwork for an upcoming show in the new year. We also have been given a list of a few other things to pick hope and perhaps even do some holiday shopping since Ikea tends to have some of the best holiday stuff.
