and we’re off to Vacation Land.
Mara had the 8 rolls of wallpaper she ordered sent straight up to Maine so it is not looking like we are really going to be vacationing but at least the weather will be cooler, the air will be cleaner and life will move a little slower.
There sure is nothing like Yoko Ono.
millions and zillions. oh wait. I already told you that.
That was 4 hours ago and I still feel this way. And now there is 4 hours less left of my life.
On the bright side we are attending a Contemporary Evening at MoMA tonight so at least the feeling of not having got everything done this afternoon will be temporary blocked while sipping on cocktails in the sculpture garden.
millions and zillions of things to do before we leave early tomorrow am. millions and zillions.
We might need some help the week of July 12th counting and numbering. If anyone is interested shoot me a line.
As always they will be food and handsome rewards.
…and the wallpaper in question will arrive in time for us to get our draw on next week!
Wallpaper issue has been resolved.
F**K You Steve’s Blinds and Wallpaper! Mara placed an order over 2 weeks ago that has not arrived. We called this am only to find out that the paper is no longer in stock. They have not refunded Mara but sent an email to her (at the wrong address on June 9th) Sweet. This puts things on hold for a while while we find new wallpaper. Mara is NOT A HAPPY camper. AT ALL!
Mara is home. She is a bit miffed that she missed the US goal as she was on the subway on the way back from JFK when USA scored. But no time to waste. We have to title artworks this afternoon so we have burry ourselves in some Grant White poetry till Mara finds the lines she will poach.
Mara is off to Virginia and I’m staying in Brooklyn to hold up the fort. Mara is actually going to be working remotely from Virginia over the next few days so it then becomes crucial for me to be here especially if she needs something she doesn’t have with her. Classic. Mara is doing a little site visit among other things and while I am sad to miss it, I’m looking forward to...
Mara still lives in basically the same neighborhood she grew up in. This means every outing has the potential to run into someone, anyone from Mara’s earlier years. Today’s adventure included Diana, Mara’s preschool teacher. Mara started at Diana’s when she was 2 and developed her love of coffee drinking straight from Diana’s coffee mug.
Beaches, BBQs and midtown roof top birthday bashes, it is a charmed life. Today, however, we need to buckle down and get cracking as there is SO MUCH to get done before Mara heads down to Virginia tomorrow.
Stamford or BUST…
Today we are going on a little field trip to see Erin. It has nothing to do with a beach and a pool.
Hello Monday.
So I installed Google Voice for Mara and well it apparently all backfired over the weekend and she is blaming me even though she managed to fix her phone back to normal. I thought google voice would be a good thing but apparently not so much for Mara.
We had some minor set backs this morning, hopefully after our lunch break things will have dried up a little.
Beautiful weather is good for brainstorming. Mara claims it helps her ‘get her creative juices flowing’ but really I just think it is a good excuse to enjoy outside without feeling guilty. Who am I to complain as long as she take me with her?
Off to Boston for a weekend full of BBQs, Birthdays and Burger cakes.
Currently adding another page in the book: Mara & Staples; the love hate relationship.
We are installing those keys this morning. Should be WAY LESS grueling than Mara’s last installation.
As always I will post photos once we are onsite.
I am sure glad we got our outside tasks done before the rain!
