Mara has a sketchbook as part of The Sketchbook Project that is currently on view at the Brooklyn Art Library until February 27th. It then leaves Brooklyn for a national tour. So if you are looking for a weekend activity check it out in Brooklyn or if you are not in Brooking it might be coming to a city near you!
Busy week. Mara is in midtown, she has been there all day. I’m holding up the Brooklyn fort. I’m pretty sure I got the better end of this deal.
check it: two8two on grub street
my that burger logo looks smashing…
I am having a very sad day. Mara is preoccupied with some ongoing graphic design stuff she has been working on. I just got some news about a friend that is AWESOME news for her but a little bittersweet for me. I can’t really share all the details here but we both are very happy for her just a little sad for ourselves. Me the most. Also Mara forgot to mail Anne & Kyle’s anniversary...
Mara is judging the Scholastic Alliance for Young Artists & Writers National Awards today. I will also take this time to remind you to purchase your tickets to Now Showing, a benefit for the Alliance on Wednesday, March 9th. All Mara’s work for the benefit is now wrapped and packed and she is delivering it on her way to jury. So in short get your tickets soon!
Hooray!
Tonight we are drinking and dining with Liz! It has been over a year since Liz took off for her worldly adventures and we are so excited to see her in New York City tonight! We are even meeting her on the Upper West Side. That should be a very clear indication of how much we are looking forward to this.
and we're back...
Mara won’t stop talking about how she didn’t have to wear a hat, gloves or a jacket while down in Charlottesville all weekend plus she could wear shoes with no socks. Yes it was clearly colder here and continues to be so. I wish she would stop complaining.
Cold or no cold I had a nice long weekend and we are back in full swing. I am being put into research mode. Mara and I have begun...
I’m taking a long weekend. Mara decided to head down to VA alone. She is working down there tomorrow and Monday but thinks she can manage solo. I’ll stay on call from Brooklyn but I think Mara will be fine. Not sure what I will do with myself over the next few days but as of yet we aren’t expecting a snowstorm. Hooray!
Mara has an appointment uptown and then she is teaching. I am supposed to wrap things up here so she can head down to Virginia tomorrow. However it is currently too cold in my opinion to do anything.
It has been a busy and productive morning. Actually Mara just turned to me and said “What it is only noon!?!? I feel like it should be about 4pm when I think about all the things that we checked off the list so far today.”
This is true, we are about to leave Tuesday in the dust and it is not even 1pm.

and I will spare you a photo of Friday’s bruise but I will report that the majority of Mara’s lower leg is turning yellow and green. She clearly did not just fall on her knee but her whole lower leg. It is pretty gross. So yea, no photo.
1. Yesterday got busy and we never got around to Chinese Food for the new year.
2. Mara slipped and fell this morning on her walk with Sam and she skinned and banged up her knee. She managed to rip a hole in her pants, scrape off some layers of skin, and it already is pretty swollen and black and bruised. I have been listening to her complain all morning.
12:55 pm UPDATE: Mara is now...

Thank you Google.
For today’s weblink (clearly sharing things on the internet is not only reserved for snow days but also ice days) I want to share with you this new art project from Google called Art Project, powered by Google. The new site lets you explore museums from around the world, discover and view hundreds of artworks at incredible zoom levels, and even create and share your own...

Today is just another snow day so I think it is only fitting to help all my readers find new and exciting things on the internet when outside is awful. Today I would like to introduce you to Krrb.
As the website says this is a new (only 2 months young!) website to: buy, sell, rent, trade, give and be neighborly.
It is a little bit craigslist mixed with a little bit of etsy and a whole lot...
