Typewriters! →
Mara has recently inherited a typewriter. Looks like all the cool kids are typing on typewriters these days. I wonder if Mara is now more or less excited about her new ‘toy.’
I wish I could have stayed in Richmond for the pep rally send off today. Alas after a very long Amtrak train ride and getting stuck in the subway on the A train for an hour we got back in Brooklyn yesterday evening and now that it is morning we have lots to do.
I’ll try and check back in later, after I have had some coffee.
Amtrak back to Brooklyn. We’re leaving Staples Mill Station close to 20 minutes late, this is looking like it is going to be a long train ride.

Yeah, it is pretty awesome getting to be on the VCU campus for this. This afternoon I am hoping to get back over to the bookstore for some more VCU March Madness Tournament gear before we head back to New York tomorrow.
Go VCU! Awesome weekend to be in Richmond!

Just got back from our meeting at Second Street Gallery with Andrew and basically April is going to be AWESOME! I’ll have more to share with you later.
#marchmadness mayhem in the streets of Richmond! Go #RAMS Go #VCU
Go RAMS!
Heading to Richmond this afternoon. Well I decided to tag along with Mara who was already planning on going as she has a meeting in Charlottesville on Saturday. But I want to cheer on the RAMS in Richmond with VCU fans! And I will probably end up at the meeting too. And that is fine because I like Andrew and Steve.
Better get ready for the train ride!
This is what I want right now. Next week I would... →

Eye strain. Today we continue our research on Queen Charlotte reading a book on the computer screen. This always hurts my eyes. Mara complains about reading on the computer screen too and because she is the boss she is making me do the initial reading and figure out what pages to print out. The book we had ordered (used book) can not be found by the vendor on we had ordered though but the book was...
New Art Auction →
Hey Charlottesville! This is your first reminder to get your tickets and bid on Second Street Gallery’s New Art Auction on Friday April 8th at 8:00pm.
They will have a first Friday opening on April 1. All the live auction works will be on display. They will also have a ‘new collectors’ silent auction that same night - this will feature works by both established artists and...
It is hailing outside. Hail. Not rain. Hail.
Call me crazy, but VCU is most impressive team in... →
Wow! What a Basketball Tournament this has been. We are feeling ok with all our Final Four picks still alive but we are also cheering on VCU. They beat USC then Georgetown and had an amazing game last night against Purdue. If you are still not convinced of VCU you should read the article linked above. And start getting ready to watch them take on Florida State on Friday at 10pm.
I forgot that in NYC the first signs of warm weather bring out the all crazies from winter hibernation.

So far we are 5 for 6. Not a bad start to March Madness.
But for now we stop as we are off to my birthday surprise!
and happy birthday to me.
It is my birthday today. Mara has some surprise planned for this evening and she hasn’t spilled the beans yet.
Team work effort and our NCAA tournament bracket is filled. Stay tuned tomorrow and I will officially post it for you to judge.
We have a NCAA Tournament Bracket to fill out. We have an hour. We need help.
With all the talk of the upcoming royal wedding Mara and I are much more focused on another royal wedding.
In 1761 King George III married Sophia Charlotte of Mecklenberg-Strelitz. George and Charlotte were Queen Victoria’s grandparents. Queen Victoria is the great great great great great grandmother to Prince William of Wales.

Check out the AYAW BLOG posting from last week’s Now Showing event.
Wow. Mara and I are so impressed with Verizon.
Mara is a Verizon Fios customer and Verizon is currently airing access to a Japanese TV station and is allowing free calling to Japan through April 10th.
I wish I had something exciting to report but I don’t. Mara is preoccupied with pennants and Queen Charlotte and I am just trying to keep things in order. Oh the madness. Good thing Mara scored a bunch of file folders on sale at JAM Paper & Envelope last week so I that it is easier to file things away.
On a side note if you have never been to JAM Paper & Envelope you should go. Go...

Super delicious lunch at Van Horn Sandwich Shop with Anne and Addison.
You should go there. Super delicious! Eat the Brunswick Stew.
Brunswick Stew: Pulled pork, bacon, chicken, tomatoes, bell peppers, corn, lima beans, potato.
This is Jesse Eisenberg reading last night at Now Showing. I wasn’t close enough to take a photo this photo is from the twitter feed of @artandwriting. We had such a great time and it was awesome to see everyone there. I heard that people were turned away at the door!
Mara and I are eating egg and cheeses for breakfast. It is part of our official day after a night of fun routine.
Us Weekly will be there covering Now Showing tonight!
Catch you on the red carpet!
Hard at working finishing up some invitations Mara is making so that we can get them mailed.
And tonight we will see you at Now Showing. They have sold out of all the online tickets and there are a limited number at the door if you still need a ticket.

Birthday recovery.
Al I can say is that I am glad yesterday’s rain has ended. Everything is still soaked from all that rain.
Birthday celebrations have officially begun and will last all weekend. Looking forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.
Busy day. Work & party planning.
Mara is in midtown. I am holding down the fort and planning some birthday celebrations for Mara’s birthday weekend. And I am still wishing for a 3rd.
