We were at a roof top party last night at Second Street Gallery. I forgot to blog. I was having too much fun.
So much cooking. Challah, noodle kugel and the chopped liver are all made. The chicken is in the oven and the honey glazed carrots will be the last piece to the puzzle. I had to run to the store and get some apples to dip in honey since due to the rain we couldn’t go for reals apple picking this past week.
So now while the chicken is in the oven we can get back to our regularly scheduled...
Mara needed to take a break this morning from coloring to get cooking for Rosh Hashana. It is not even noon and she has a challah rising and a kugel in the oven.

Trying to desperately recover from our early afternoon printing disaster/failure.
It’s raining in Charlottesville but we’re up and going early so that we can try and deal with what has been referred to as ‘printergate 2011.’
Printergate 2011 SUCKS.
UPDATE (for anyone who cares): After a bit of kicking and screaming and some ‘childish behavior’ the printer is now up and running though a USB port. This will do for now as we have many other things to do rather than focus on trying to print wirelessly.

You all know what a huge fan Mara is of regular old snail mail and many of you have seen some of the fantastic envelopes and letters she tends to send. These envelopes and letters from Edward Gorey are quite spectacular and inspiring and worth a click to check out.
This morning we picked basil from Grant’s mom’s garden as the basil season is coming to a close on Park Street. Then we made a BIG batch of pesto that will last us all till next basil season! YUM!

I know the past few weeks I have been slacking on the blog. But in between shuffling myself and Mara around I have neglected my blogging. The good news is that as we have starting copious amounts of printing down in Charlottesville we have some extra test prints and things that we would love to send out to some of you, my loyal readers.
